Mobility hubs are almost here!

Valenciennes Métropole launched a call for expression of interest in June 2021. Several candidates provided interesting options for the Mobility Hubs. This challenge-driven approach was a success, helping Valenciennes Metropole to identify the needs and design the optimal mobility solutions for the two pilots.
All the local partners are now working on building effective public/private partnerships to implement the projects and make the Mobi Hubs a reality.
Gender equality & Mobility
In other news, Valenciennes Métropole has signed in September 2019 the European Charter for Equality of Women and Men in Local Life. The institution is now engaged in implementing a plan to reduce inequalities among its work unit but also to ensure that gender equality is a component of all its actions. Mobility will be part of the Plan, as it is a key domain to address Gender equality issues.
Exhibition « Sur de bons rails » Transalley
From October 2nd to December 23rd, Transalley and its Institute of mobility and sustainable transports (IMTD) are celebrating the European Year of Rail! The programming “Sur de bons rails” offers an amazing exhibition towards the High-Speed Railway and many conferences, workshops, and screenings. The technopole Transalley is at the heart of the European rail industry and history. Indeed, Valenciennes Metropole concentrates 60% of the regional activity. Many actors chose to settle in Valenciennes Metropole such as the international leader Alstom, the Research Institute RAILENIUM, the European Union Agency for Railways, i-Trans, the Railway Testing Centre and many more companies and start-ups!
